1. Introduction

StreetOfy ("we", "us", or "our") operates the StreetOfy mobile application and associated web services. We are committed to respecting your privacy and protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and safeguard your data when you access or use our application.

By downloading, accessing, or using the StreetOfy mobile application, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with the terms outlined here, please do not access or use the application.

2. Information We Collect

We collect several types of information to provide, maintain, and improve our services to you:

Personal Information

  • Name: Used to personalize your account profile and in-app communications.
  • Email Address: Used for account management, support communication, and important updates.
  • Phone Number: Used for secure One-Time Password (OTP) authentication and account identification.

Location Data

  • Precise GPS Location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION): Collected in the foreground and during active navigation sessions to show nearby shops on the interactive 3D map, calculate accurate distance and Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA), provide turn-by-turn navigation, and trigger geofenced visit confirmations.

Profile Media

  • Profile Picture / Avatar: Uploaded images selected by users to customize their profile, stored securely using cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS S3).

User Preferences

  • Category Interests & Saved Places: Selected retail categories (e.g., fashion, electronics, dining) and saved or bookmarked shops used to tailor your personalized shop feed.

User-Generated Content

  • Ratings & Reviews: Star ratings (1–5 stars), review tags, and written text reviews submitted for local shops to help the community discover quality venues.

Device Information

  • Technical Identifiers: Device type, hardware model, operating system version, and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) push notification tokens for alert delivery.

Usage & Analytics Data

  • App Interactions: Event metrics (such as view, route_set, visit, search, and card_click), search queries, and visit history used to optimize recommendations and system health.

Authentication Data

  • Session Tokens: JSON Web Tokens (JWT) stored locally on your device in secure local storage (AsyncStorage) to keep you authenticated across app sessions.

3. How We Use Your Information

StreetOfy utilizes the collected data for the following operational and user experience purposes:

  • Display nearby shops and compute real-time distances on interactive 3D maps.
  • Provide turn-by-turn navigation and accurate Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA).
  • Enable product price comparison and availability search across multiple local stores.
  • Deliver personalized shop recommendations based on your selected interests and preferences.
  • Send timely push notifications regarding nearby deals, offers, and visit prompts.
  • Track and confirm shop visits using location-based geofencing.
  • Aggregate ratings and reviews to highlight top venue quality for the community.
  • Monitor and improve application performance, fix technical bugs, and enhance safety.

4. Data Sharing & Third-Party Services

We value your privacy. We do NOT sell your personal data to advertisers or third parties. Data is shared only with trusted third-party service providers essential for application functionality:

  • Mapbox: Provides map rendering, location routing, and turn-by-turn navigation. Read the Mapbox Privacy Policy.
  • Firebase (Google): Provides secure phone number OTP authentication and handles push notification delivery via FCM. Read the Google Privacy Policy.
  • AWS (Amazon Web Services): Provides secure cloud storage (Amazon S3) for user profile images and media assets. Read the AWS Privacy Policy.

All third-party service providers are contractually limited to using your data only as necessary to perform specified services on our behalf.

5. Data Security

We implement robust industry-standard security measures to protect your information:

  • Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted between the mobile application and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS / TLS encryption.
  • Secure Local Storage: Authentication tokens (JWT) are stored in secure device storage (AsyncStorage).
  • Security Assessments: We conduct regular security evaluations and access controls to prevent unauthorized data access, disclosure, or modification.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account remains active or as necessary to fulfill the services outlined in this Privacy Policy.

  • You may request complete account and data deletion at any time.
  • Upon account deletion, your personal data will be permanently removed or anonymized.
  • Anonymized and aggregated analytics data (de-identified from individual accounts) may be retained for system performance analysis.

7. Account & Data Deletion

We respect your right to control your data. Both users and vendors can permanently delete their accounts and all associated personal data.

How to Delete Your Account

  • In-App (Recommended): Open StreetOfy → go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This will permanently delete your account and all associated data. This option is available for both users and vendors.
  • Via Email: Send an email to support@vriksha.aiwith the subject line "Data Deletion Request". Include your registered email address or phone number so we can verify your identity.
  • Via Phone: Call us at +91 99877 23454 to request account deletion.

What Data Gets Deleted

  • Personal information (name, email, phone number)
  • Profile picture and avatar
  • Saved/bookmarked places
  • Category interests and preferences
  • Ratings and reviews you've submitted
  • Visit history and analytics events
  • Push notification tokens
  • Authentication tokens

What Data May Be Retained

  • Anonymized, aggregated analytics data that cannot be linked back to you.
  • Data required to comply with legal obligations.
  • Transaction records if required by applicable law.

Processing Timeline

  • In-app deletion: Processed immediately.
  • Email / phone requests: Processed within 7 business days.
  • You will receive a confirmation email once deletion is complete.

Important: Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. You will lose access to your account and all saved data. To use StreetOfy again, you will need to create a new account.

8. Children's Privacy

StreetOfy is not directed toward children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under 13 years of age.

If we discover that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under 13, we will immediately delete that information from our servers. Parents or legal guardians who believe their child has provided personal information to us can contact us at support@vriksha.ai.

9. Your Rights & Choices

You have control over your personal data and privacy settings:

  • Access & Update: Review and modify your profile information, category interests, and saved places directly within the app.
  • Push Notifications: Enable or disable push notifications at any time in your device system settings.
  • Location Permissions: Revoke GPS location access via your device settings (note: location permission is required for real-time navigation and distance calculation).
  • Delete Account: Both users and vendors can permanently delete their account and all personal data via Settings → Account → Delete Account in the app, or by contacting us.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy periodically to reflect updates in our app features or regulatory requirements. When significant changes are made, we will notify you through in-app alerts or push notifications, and update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.

Your continued use of the StreetOfy mobile application after changes take effect indicates your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
